Local happenings this weekend

Saturday, October 7th

From our friend Ryan @ the killer coffee roaster Peace Coffee:

Fair Trade Ride, Saturday October 7th
This Saturday is "fair trade day" at the Midtown Global Market and Peace Coffee is organizing a casual ride around the lakes with stops at various coffee houses that sell fair trade coffee, including CRC Cafe.

Meet at the Midtown Global Exchange parking lot on East Lake Street and Chicago this Saturday, Oct. 7th at 9:00 a.m. The ride will last about an hour and will return to the Midtown Global Market.

From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the Midtown Global Market will be hosting speakers, informational tables, and a fair trade fashion show which will include the stylish makings of Rehab Originals - a cyclists-minded emerging clothing and accessory line right here in Minneapolis. Look for Rehab Originals on myspace.com for more details.

Also on Saturday, October 7th, if you like beer:

The Autumn Brew Review is an excellent way to sample beer from all the regions top brewpubs and micros while listening to live music. It's outdoors at Peavey Plaza on the Nicollet Mall, Downtown Minneapolis from 1-6pm. From first hand experience, this is well worth the $25 entry fee. For more info, click AutumnBrewReview
